Somayeh Mehrabankar holds a Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Physics from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz /Iran ( one of the high-rank Universities in Iran). During her Ph.D. student, she taught in the Faculty of Science of the Petroleum University of Technology of Abadan/ Iran. After finishing her Ph.D., she moved to Olomouc (Czech Republic) for doing a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Optics Department at Palacky University. She worked under the supervision of Prof. Petr Marek on a project about the theoretical analysis of quantum nonlinear squeezing – a novel quantum information concept – in the context of quantum teleportation and projective measurements. Afterwards she moved to the industry and worked as a (QCM: Quality Control Manager) at one of the AUDI and BMW factory branches in the Czech Republic.
Since she is very enthusiastic about her field of study, especially Quantum Information Theory and related subjects, after one and a half years, she was back to back to Academia, as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Valencia. At the moment, she works in the group of Prof. Armando Pérez on a project that belongs to the project Quantum Spain.
