DESCRIPTION:A survey of amenability of operator algebras\, and algebras of abstract harmonic analysis\nI wish to give an overview of amenability\, in the sense of B. Johnson\, ultimately highlighting some results to which I contributed.  Amenability for Banach algebra has two essential relaxations\, weak amenability and Connes amenability.  I will give an overview of how these concepts apply to operator algebras\, and also to group and measure algebras; and then to their dual counterparts\, Fourier and Fourier-Stieltjes algebras. \nejorda@mat.upv.es
